MINSTER Lovell moved up to second and closed in on the OCA League Division 1 leaders with a six-wicket win at Radley.

Three wickets apiece for Eddie Dunn (3-5), Connor Tinsley (3-14) and Leigh Smith (3-29) helped to restrict the home side to 132 all out.

Archie Spittles then top-scored with 36 not out, including a six to win the game, as Minster eased home at 137-4, Tinsley chipping in with 31 not out and Harris hitting 30.

Andy Crawford made an unbeaten century to steer Stonesfield to a two-wicket win at Charlbury.

The home side had set 204-9, Hasula Prematilaka scoring 51 not out, Josh Hornsby 49 and Sam Hibberd taking 4-27. But Crawford then scored 101 not out to lead his side to 206-8.

Basement boys Chipping Norton gave a good account of themselves, only to lose by 40 runs at high-flying Shrivenham.

Conor Taylor top-scored with 76 and Jagi Chahal hit 75 not out to help Shrivenham to 268-9.

Chippy were all out for 228, Dave Brassett scoring 54, as Jagi Chahal took 5-31 and Charan Chahal 3-57.

Chadlington lost by three wickets at home to Division 2 leaders East & West Hendred in a game that saw an interruption after an air ambulance landed on the field to deal with a nearby medical emergency.

Chadlington batted first and were restricted to 141-4 in their 45 overs, Mark Lambert top-scoring with 42 not out. Andrew Francis then hit 42 and Jason Fisher 38 as Hendred reached 142-7.

Witney Swifts fell to a seven-wicket defeat at Clifton Hampden, after being bowled out for 165, Josh Grant scoring 45 not out.

In Division 3, Eynsham youngster Ben Weller took five wickets as they beat visitors Marcham by ten wickets.

Weller claimed 5-36 in Marcham’s 77 all out, before Ben Smitten hit 40 not out to steer Eynsham home.

Rob Lovick helped Hanborough to a 51-run win at Kilkenny.

Lovick hit 103 in Hanborough’s 213-8, Kashif Hafeez taking 4-34.

Darren Gordon’s 50 for Kilkenny was in vain as they fell for 162, Martyn Oliver taking 4-28.

Jacob Mayers hit his maiden league century to help Minster Lovell 2nd to a 94-run win at home to Uffington in Division 4.

Mayers finished 100 not out as Minster posted 236-3 in their 45 overs. Henry Crowther then claimed 5-27 in Uffington’s reply of 142.

Swinbrook lost their top-table clash at home to Risinghurst by 18 runs. Ripon Masih hit 50 in Risinghurst’s 167, before Swinbrook fell for 149.

Richard Knight’s 5-32 spell helped Hook Norton to a 126-run win at West Witney in Division 5. Hook Norton posted 256-8 as Jordan Glazier hit 54, Samuel Sherpa-Moore 50 and Knight 41.

Saurabh Mehrotra scored 60 in West Witney’s reply of 130.

Ducklington marched on at the top of Division 7, thrashing hosts Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd by eight wickets. Kane Lewis was the star, taking 5-22 in Wootton’s 74.

Combe completed a ten-wicket win at Witney Swifts 2nd, who made 161, but Robbie Nicholson (88no) and Mark Westerby (58no) made light work of the target.

George Simms took 6-17 for Minster Lovell 3rd, who won by 37 runs at Stonesfield 2nd.
