THANKS to a fine all-round display from skipper Andy Harris, Great & Little Tew had high hopes of pulling off a shock result when they dismissed visitors High Wycombe for 135 in 39.2 overs on Saturday

But Tew’s batsmen also struggled in the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League clash and they were all out for 114 in 37.4 overs.

Harris was the star for Tew, taking 4-15 to rip the heart out of the Wycombe innings.

Despite Harry Smith’s fine 37, Tew slumped to 76-8 in reply.

Harris thenhammered 29 off 19 balls before being run out, thus securing Wycombe’s 21-run win.

A ninth-wicket stand of 29 between Oxford's Harvey Eltham and Freddie Simon denied Shipton-under-Wychwood victory over the Division 2 title-contenders, who got home by two wickets in a tight contest

Shipton struggled to 148 all out inside 38 overs. Only Calvin Dickinson (43) and Joe Barrett (34) made significant contributions, as spinner Shami Mendis (4-35) and seamer Samad Fallah, (3-19) took control.

Oxford struggled against the bowling of Craig Wood (3-25), Shaun Miller (3-27) and Anupam Sanklecha, before Eltham and Simon kept their cool to seal a win.
