Sutton returned 5-57 as the hosts were bowled out in the 44th over for 181 – having been 10-3 – Patrick Knightley hitting 62 and Charlie Elliott 40.

Downs, too, were in some trouble early in their reply, falling to 16-3 before an outstanding 145-run stand between James Ellwood (63) and Sandbach (94) saw them reach 185-5 in the 43rd over.

Adam Mayho then hit 47 not out and Sam Cross chipped in with 37 as Mills cruised to victory at 106-4 in the 34th over.

An unbeaten century from Greg Pearson was not enough for Sandford St Martin 2nd, who drew in Division 7 with visitors Challow & Childrey 2nd.

Pearson hit 105 not out in Sandford’s 220-6, before Tom Goffe claimed 5-39 as Challow closed on 166-8.
