STONESFIELD put a big dent in Faringdon’s title hopes with a two-wicket home win in the only OCA Division 1 game to survive the wet weather.
The visitors were restricted to 159-7 in a match reduced to 35 overs per side, Dan Sherbourne taking 3-35 and Sam Hibberd 3-36.
In reply, Stonesfield lost wickets to Alex Robinshaw, who took 5-34.
But 37 from Adrian Birkett, 35 from Shoaib Ahmed and 30 from Mike Phipps saw them over the line at 161-8.
Division 2 leaders Witney Swifts saw their lead cut to nine points after losing by 37 runs to second-place Wootton & Boars Hill.
Billy Webb followed up his century in the previous week’s match against the Cherwell League with 42 as Wootton set 161-7.
Swifts struggled in their reply to reach 124-7, Kieran Foggett hitting 48 and Josh Grant 42.
Eynsham brushed aside visitors Clifton Hampden by nine wickets in a 35-over game.
Three wickets apiece for Sam Hollingshead and Roland Margerison restricted Clifton to 122-9, before Sam Jones struck 89 not out to steer Eynsham home.
In Division 3, Stanton Harcourt eased to a seven-wicket win at home to Cairns Fudge in a 35-over game.
Fudge posted a good total of 193-5, Martin Hanscombe top-scoring with 65.
But Tim Senior then scored 65 not out as Harcourt eased to 197-3 with more than eight overs to spare.
Hook Norton stretched their lead in Division 5 by beating hosts Great Horwood 2nd by six wickets.
Horwood were shot out for 76, with Jordan Glazie returning. 3-5.
Ducklington saw off visitors Kennington by 38 runs.
Bill Bowman (46) and Jacob Hughes (44no) helped Ducklington to 194 all out, Simon Palmer taking 5-38.
Jamie Zoldan then took 4-26 in Kennington’s reply of 156, Graham Rowley hitting 69.
Stanton Harcourt lost by five wickets to Middleton Cheney, who went top of Division 7.
Simon Hadland hit 45 in Stanton’s 168-6, before James Tillcock struck 66 not out to lead Middleton Cheney to 172-5.
Witney Swifts 2nd beat Stonesfield 2ndby 153 runs in another rain-affected match.
Swifts set 199-8 in a reduced 35 overs, Edd Priest hitting 70 and Adam Lambert taking 4-35.
Stonesfield fell to only 46 in reply, Shad Khan taking 3-15.
In Division 8 North, Swinbrook 2nd beat hosts Charlbury 3rd by 42 runs.
Callum Dadge top-scored with 61 in Swinbrook’s 213-8.
Charlbury were then restricted to 171-9 as Theo Stapleton took 3-15.
Leaders Chadlington 2nd fell to a 41-run defeat at Hook Norton 2nd.
Mark Parker hit 58 and Rob Webb 44 in Hooky’s 184, Glenn McCallum taking 4-23. Chadlington were then restricted to 43-9
Hanborough reached the final of the Telegraph Cup after beating Sunningwell by four wickets in Sunday’s semi-final.
Chasing Sunningwell’s 145-6, Hanborough reached 148-6 as Aston Leach hit 34 and Joseph Burgess 33.
