Alan Williams landed the first team player of the year award at the Witney Swifts annual dinner and presentation at the Navy Oak in Leafield.

Williams (pictured) was consistent with bat and ball throughout a largely disappointing season for Swifts, which saw them relegated to Division 3 of the OCA League.

Dan Black won the second team player of the year award, and was also given special awards for taking a hat-trick against Uffington and scoring 147 against Watlington.

The awards were pre- sented by Gordon Clack, of Hawthorn Sports Agency.

OTHER AWARDS

1st team captain's player of the year: George Seacole. 2nd team captain's player of the year: Graeme Woodward. Clubman of the year: David Hickman. Special awards: Ben Craig and Shaun Ryder (maiden league half-centuries), Charlie Fisher (hat-trick).
