YOUTH FOOTBALL: Alam hits six of the best for Carterton

Maahir Alam hit a six-timer as Carterton Town beat Grendon Rangers 10-1 in the Giles Sports Witney & District Under 15 B Youth League.
Tom Oddy, Josh Herbert, Sam Berry and Jack Davies completed their tally, with Rahat Islam replying.
Tower Hill eased to a 3-0 win at home to North Leigh in the A League.
The visitors dominated early on, but failed to turn it into goals, and were grateful to keeper George Lamb-ourne for denying Calum McGinness after a mazy run into the area.
Tower Hill took the lead through Redd Pratley’s 40-yard free-kick, before Cain Campbell made it 2-0 after outpacing a defender.
Jack Wood hit No 3 when he volleyed in James Scott’s cross.
Tom Dove scored the winner in Duc-klington’s 1-0 success at Charlbury Town Youth in the Under 13 Knockout Cup.
Charlie Ibbitson, Ben Mundy and Raffi Rice were on target for Combe Junior Sports in their 3-2 win at Hook Norton in the Under 14 B League.
Will Scantlebury and Gregor Kelling scored for the hosts.
Bampton Town eased to a 5-1 win at home to Middleton Cheney in the Under 11 Green League, with goals from Nathan Walton, Mitchell Constable, Alejandro Blaydon, Joshua Cook and Kian McHugh. Charlie Fisher replied.
Witney Vikings Youth lost 4-2 at home to Brackley in the Orange League. Luke Edwards and Lennon Cradock netted for Witney, with Daniel Bodd (2), Woody Hadfield and Gilbert Hedley the Brackley scorers.
Bampton Town won 3-1 at Combe Junior Sports in the Under 9 White League, Mackenzie Geal (2) and Daniel Pilkington the scorers.
James Harvey scored twice in Carterton Town’s 5-1 home win against Launton Boys’ Leopards in the Red League. Joseph Langdon, Harris Birch and Jack Maclean got their other.
