FOOTBALL: Clanfield go out at first hurdle

Clanfield's hopes of glory in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup ended in a 3-2 first round defeat at home to Headington Amateurs.

The game proved to be a tale of two penalties.

Paul Hedger netted from the spot to enable Headington to level for a second time, before their keeper Harry Jenkins brilliantly saved Steve Olphert’s penalty.

Shaun Jacob netted a late winner for Amateurs, whose first goal had come from Luke Cuff.

Dan Bishop and Chris Blakely had twice put Clanfield ahead.
