Jack Morton bagged four goals as he helped Ducklington to a 4-1 win at Witney Royals, but the Witney & District FA Premier Division clash was marred by two sendings off.

Royals’ Jack Kennedy saw red for a bad tackle on Ducklington’s Guy Simmonds, who himself was then dismissed by referee Paul Coles for retaliation.

Ducklington have games in hand over the top two and have not given up the title chase after Morton’s super blast saw them home. Gary Nicholson hit back for the hosts.

Chipping Norton Town displayed their title credentials with a 5-3 win at Carterton Town A, with Rhys Warner-Carter, Reece Bayliss, Gary Smith, Mark Corbett and Warwick Thompkins on target. Jack Mills (2) and Lee Moseley replied.

With two games in hand and only two points behind the leaders, West Witney boosted their chances with a 4-1 win over Charlbury Town.

Craig McCallum scored for the hosts, but strikes from Karl Dodds, Wayne Moscrop, Dave Craig and Carl Williams settled it.

Hailey moved into fourth place after a 2-0 success at Hanborough, courtesy of goals from Luke Manning and Harvey Butler.

Division 1 leaders Hailey Res dropped two valuable points after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Carterton Pumas.

Steve Holder netted for the hosts, with Ryan Jones levelling for Pumas.

Hailey’s slip-up means Bourton Rovers are just four points behind with two games in hand after toppling North Leigh 6-0 at home.

Sam Mattock (2), Craig Gilson, Phil Colmer, Matt Winter and Silus Orr netted.

Third-placed Brize Norton enjoyed a 3-0 win at Freeland, thanks to goals from Pawel Bronk (2) and Oliver Hawkins.

Hanborough Res remain rooted to the bottom after going down to a 2-0 defeat at FC Nomads.

Steve Bircher and an own goal contributed to Boro’s fate.

Kingham drew 1-1 at home to Spartan Rangers. Gareth Price and Josh Grant scored for Kingham and Spartan respectively.

Combe closed the gap on Kirtlington to a point at the top of Division 2 with a 4-0 home victory against Witney Wanderers.

Roger Moss, Pete Searle, Sam Hibbard and Simon Baker were target for Combe, who still have three games in hand on the leaders.

Josh Hartley, Aidan Ford and Brad Olive all scored in Ducklington Res’ 3-1 home victory against Bampton Town. Tom Coppinger replied.

Ashley Overton hit a hat-trick in Finstock’s 4-0 win at FC Mills. Lee Travers completed their tally.

Jason King hit six of the best as Spartan Rangers Res thrashed Kingham Res 18-0 at home in Division 3.


Paul Saunders (3), Ben Hardcastle (3), Steve Wright (2), Joel Spalding, Rob Marchbank, Neal Jackson and Charlie Harper completed the rout.

Ducklington A’s relegation fears intensified with a 4-0 home loss to Wootton, Charlie Bough (2), Mark Rawlings and Graham Berry on target.

Division 4 leaders Tower Hill pulled five points clear with a 4-0 win at Chadlington Res, with goals from Conor Tinsley, Joe Brown, Ian Wright and Jamie Goodwin.

Spartan Rangers A beat second-placed visitors Corinthians 3-2, Martin Edwards, Tom Merchant and Henry Macke on target.
Frank Webb and Dan Smith replied.
