FOOTBALL: Pendell is the hero
Adam Pendell hit the winner for Clanfield in a 1-0 home success against his old club Letcombe in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West.
James Washington’s brace was in vain as Old Woodstock Town crashed 7-3 at Lydney Town.
Max Roberts got their other goal, with Richard Keir (3), Jarred Liddington (2), Matt Timmins and Dan Morgan on target for the home side.
Carterton lost 4-1 at Tuffley Rovers whose scorers were Shayne Bradley (2), Jordan Fletcher and Elliot King. James Harris replied for Carterton.
