West Witney inflicted a first defeat of the season on Witney & District FA Premier Division leaders Carterton Town A, the home side winning 2-1.

Chris Hirons and Craig Mays scored for the hosts, with Tommy Burns pulling one back for Town.

Minster Lovell beat high-flying Chipping Norton Town 5-0.

Connor Tinsley scored twice with Nathan Harris, Martin Bull and Jordan Denley getting the others.

Hailey enjoyed a 2-1 home success against Witney Royals, Luke Manning and Dean Mays winning it for Hailey after Steve Brasier had put the visitors in front.

Brize Norton defeated Hanborough 4-2 away from home.

Neil Rose scored twice for the hosts, but goals from Pawel Bronk (2), Rob Hook and Shaun Rawlings saw the visitors take the spoils.

Spartan Rangers took over at the top of Division 1 on the back of an 8-1 victory at Kingham.

Sam Philpot scored for the hosts, but Spartan’s Josh Grant and Dan Harwood bagged a brace, with Frank Clarke, Rory Dunseath, Jamie Timms and Donovan Hend-erson-Sowerby completing the sco-ring.

North Leigh A lost 4-3 at home to Bourton Rovers, who slipped to second on goal difference Goals from Sam Mattock, Chris Mills, Craig Gibson and Callum Trot were enough, despite Lee Mosley, Paul Slater and Ben Reardon netting for the hosts.

Combe moved up to third after a 6-1 mauling of Eynsham Sports.

John Ayres scored the only goal for the visitors, while Combe’s Ollie Morgan-Bellamy and Ethan Penny scored a brace apiece.

Chris Betreen and Simon Baker completed their tally.

Steve Hunt hammered a hat-trick to help Chadlington end their wait for their first victory of the season as they beat Hailey Res 4-1.

Jack Morgan netted the other, while Hailey’s only response came from an own goal.

David Pryse netted for FC Nomads, but they lost 3-1 at home to Aston, with Benji Sunblad, Ryan Oliver and an own goal doing the damage for the visitors.

Stonesfield maintained their 100 per cent Division 2 record with a 7-0 crushing of Hanborough Res.

Tom Green scored a hat-trick, Matthew Tarry netted twice while Mike Phipps and Chris Jordan also scored.

Carterton Town B defeated Milton 3-1.

Lee Manley, Dan Robinson and Oliver Bush scored for Town, with Max Win-Penny netting for Milton. Carterton Rangers started their campaign with an emphatic 5-1 win at home to Bampton United.

Chris Smith led the way with a double, with Dan Hall, Lee Keyes and James Baker also finding the net.

Tom Gregory and James Basson earned Witney Wanderers a 2-0 success away to Ducklington Res.
