Tower Hill let slip a 1-0 lead as they went down to a 5-2 defeat at Chesham United in Southern Region Women’s League Northern Division 1.

After absorbing some early pressure from the home side, the visitors got off to the perfect start when Katie Wright’s intended cross flew straight into the Chesham goal past a stunned home goalkeeper.

However, their joy didn’t last long as Chesham levelled on the half-hour when Gemma Fraser broke through the defence before firing home.

And it got worse for Tower Hill two minutes later when Fraser put the hosts ahead with her second goal.

The visitors tried to get back into the contest, but went 3-1 down five minutes after the break when Paula Lambert found the net.

It was all over on 52 minutes when Anna Imrie hit Chesham’s fourth.

Fraser made it 5-1 on 76 minutes to complete her hat-trick.

Samantha Bevan-Talbot pulled one back back in the dying minutes before teammate Lisa Freeman had a goal chalked out for offside.

On Saturday, Tower travel to Banbury United.
