Our weekly column with Oxford United’s managing director Greig Box Turnbull on the latest news from in and around club

WEMBLEY tickets go on open sale today, as cup fever continues to grip the county.

The designated singing section behind the goal, has almost sold out already and other blocks are filling up, as Oxfordshire gets behind United.

We have also decided to bring the departure of our London Road Club coaches forward to ensure supporters get longer to soak up the atmosphere along Wembley Way pre-match.

The club shop took its first delivery of Wembley merchandise this week and media interview requests have been coming in thick and fast ahead of the big day.

The club submitted its position on the format of the Checkatrade Trophy to the EFL yesterday – we will not vote in favour of under 23 sides playing in the future, following the one-season trial.

That said, we are big supporters of the competition and do want to it to continue for League One and League Two clubs.

While preparing for Wembley is a big job for the club – both operationally and commercially, the team and management have been fully focused on the league campaign.

While the past two home games have not gone the way we hoped, there is still everything to play for and it is vital we all remain determined and focused to the end of the season.

The team have worked hard in training this week and are fully prepared for tomorrow’s trip to Peterborough United.

Here’s to a positive result. COYY.
