YOUTH FOOTBALL: Ryan is cup hero

Ryan Stockford headed a second-half winner as Carterton as they lifted the Ron Smith Under 13 County Cup with a 1-0 victory against Tower Hill at Thame United FC.

Meanwhile, Tower Hill notched up their first win of 2012 with a 2-0 success against Highfield Juniors in the Giles Sports Witney Youth Under 14 A League, thanks to a double from Redd Pratley.

Enstone Sports won 4-0 against Eynsham Youth in the B League, with Joey Lee (2), Shaun Kemp and Tom Foster on target.

Under 13 Tom Peacock and Ben Simpson hit doubles as Tower Hill Stars beat Chadlington 6-2 in the B League. Zac Kent and Ben Peacock completed their tally with Henry Eve and Jay Steptoe replying.

Under 10 Mitchell Constable equalised for Bampton Town in a 2-2 draw with Garden City in the Green League.

Trailing to strikes from Taylor Masters and Zack Harwood, Nathan Walton clawed one back and Constable salvaged a point.

Under 9 Carterton won 2-0 at Moreton Rangers in the Red League, with James Harvey and Jack Mclean the scorers.
