FOOTBALL: Ducklington make history
Stuart Cutts was the hero as Ducklington lifted the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield for the first time in their history with a 1-0 victory over Freeland.
The only goal of the game came early in the second half.
Ray Read found space and his deep cross found Gorman at the back post. He headed the ball back across goal and Cutts tapped in from close range.
Matthew Gorman went close early on for Ducklington, firing a free-kick just over the bar.
Cutts then narrowly failed to get on the end of a Ian Peedell cross with the goal at his mercy.
After Cutts did find the net, Freeland quickly introduced former Ducklington striker Chris Palmer.
And the striker was immediately put clear on goal, but Danny Walker made a great saving tackle.
They are pictured celebrating their cup win.
