Woodstock Wanderers finished with nine men as they caused a big upset with a dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory at home to Division 1 side Brightwell in the second round of the Critchleys UTV League's Devenney Cup.
The Division 3 hosts took the lead through Ryan Doran’s free-kick before Dan Keeler equalised in kind for Brightwell. Despite having Grant Gaertner sent off, Woodstock took the match into extra time.
Ashley Skinner restored Wood-stock’s lead, but teammate Nathan Laws took his celebration too far, receiving a second yellow card to leave Woodstock with nine men. Keeler made it 2-2 for Brightwell, who then had Tom Morgan sent off for a second cauntion.
Doran snatched an unlikely victory for Woodstock after substitute and manager Ben Fouracre's shot had rebounded to him off a post.
Division 2 side Freeland Yeoman thrashed Zubry Oxford 6-3, with Ethan Simlett and Callum Allmond both scoring twice.
Simon Calley and Jamie Perkin completed their tally, while Zubry had a man sent off.
