WOMENS FOOTBALL: Tower Hill get back to winning

Samantha Bevan-Talbot and Charley Hamilton helped themselves to doubles as Tower Hill Ladies got back to winning ways in Southern Women’s Region Division 1 with a 4-1 victory against Banbury Ladies.
Hamilton opened her account early on, before making it 2-0 with her second strike.
Banbury came out in determined mood in the second half and clawed one back when Josie Clark fired home.
Tower Hill keeper Mel Gilbert made a succession of saves, including one from the penalty spot to preserve the lead.
However, Bevan-Talbot’s haul and a Lisa Freeman goal saw Tower Hill ease home.
On Sunday, Tower Hill face Andover New Street Ladies at West Witney Sports Club.
