YOUTH FOOTBALL: Butler serves up a hat-trick
6:33pm Wednesday 18th September 2013 in Local Football
Dylan Butler hit a treble as Eyn-sham Youth defeated Launton Boys 5-1 at home in the Under 12 Blue League.
He opened his account in style with a quick-fire double, both from ten yards out.
And it was 3-0 when a crossfield ball from Jay Revill found Jonny Harrington at the back post, who leapt high to volley the ball into the roof of the net.
After the break, Butler completed his hat-trick with a cool finish.
Launton forced their way back into the gam with a Daniel Clare strike, before Antony Groth’s close-range effort sealed it for Eynsham.
Jaden Mole scored the equaliser as Tower Hill fought back for a 1-1 draw in the Green League.
Tom Ashton put Charlbury ahead with a long-range strike, before Mole’s second-half header secured a share of the spoils.
Jack Mitchell and Ellis Godin both helped themselves to doubles for Kingham All Blacks in a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Launton Boys Athletic in the Red League.
Max Britton (2), Jack Begley and Taylor Richardson found the back of the net for the visitors.
Bampton Town edged to a 2-1 victory at home to Bicester Town Stars in the Under 10 Red League.
After dominating the first half, it wasn’t until after the break that they got the goal their efforts deserved when Tahir Alam fired in.
Although Bicester levelled with a long-range strike, Bampton kept pressing and it was no surprise when they got the winner when Alam complete his double with a super finish.
New boys Eynsham Youth got their White League campaign off to the perfect start with a 3-1 win at home to Combe Junior Sports.
Eynsham went ahead just before half-time when Harry Harraway’s pass picked-out the unmarked Leo Norton in the box.
He controlled the ball before slotting it into the bottom corner past the keeper. After the break, Combe came more into the contest as they hunted an equaliser.
However, they were caught on the backfoot when Harraway restored Eynsham’s lead.
Although Norton clawed a goal back, Eynsham held on.
