FOOTBALL: Carterton chief Truman steps down

Carterton chairman Nick Truman has resigned after 12 years at the Hellenic League Premier Division club.

Truman said: "Over the past few months, I have become frustrated with the lack of support, both from adult players and also the parents of youth players.

"The pressure has started to affect my health over the past few weeks."

Vice-chairman and secretary John McCarthy takes charge until an EGM is held on January 10.
