Stonesfield Strikers strolled to a 2-0 win against Barton United in the Oxford Mail Girls Under 13 League Cup. In a tie switched to Barton due to waterlogging, Stones-field dominated the first half and had a penalty saved.
Katie Appleton broke the deadlock after the break, charging down the keeper’s clearance before firing in.
And it was all over when Annie Mundy burst forward before taking the ball around the on-rushing keeper and slotting home.
Tower Hill Vixens saw off Banbury United 3-0 at home, thanks to goals from Marianne Hauer, Izzi Henthorn and Annie Dennis.
