West Witney suffered heartbreak as the ten-man side bowed out at the second round stage of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup following a 4-3 penalty shoot-out defeat at Kidlington Old Boys.

The Oxfordshire Senior League hosts went ahead when Nicky Middleton fired home, only for Kai Merritt to level.

Daniel Jones headed Kid-lington back in front at the break, before Chris Hirons equalised to ensure the contest went to extra time.

Witney had Hirons and Carl Austin sent off in extra time, but when that ended goalless, the tie went down to a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out with the home side progressing.

Freeland went down to a 5-3 defeat at Horspath.

Trailing to a Jay Hill brace, Freeland pulled a goal back through Liam Hare, only for Simon Evans to make it 3-1.

Jefferson Harriott cut the deficit when he lobbed home.

However, their hopes of salvaging a point ended when Horspath won it with a Tom Chase penalty and a Luke Ambler goal.

Hailey hammered Duck-lington 4-1 at home, thanks to goals from Jack Wood, Joey King, Paul Read and Harvey Butler. Kev Davies replied.
