Eynsham went down to a late 4-3 defeat at home to Riverside in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division on Saturday.
Tom McCudden notched a brace and Will Morris also scored for the hosts, but they were beaten, thanks to goals from Liam O’Callaghan, Charlie Brough and Mario Visha, as well as a Chris Williams penalty.
Freeland lost 4-0 at home against Oakley United who moved up to second as a result.
Kieron Schmidt, Shayne Almond, James Keeble and Ryan Binnee netted for the away side.
In Division 1, Stephen Litton struck twice early on as Yarnton Res beat Eynsham Res 4-2.
Litton’s double put the hosts in charge and second-half goals from Lee Trinder and Ben Coupland sealed the success, despite late goals from Andy Glossop and Gareth Hitchcox for Eynsham.
