Ben Johnson scored a late winner as Yarnton beat Riverside 4-3 at home in the second round of the the Oxfordshire Senior League's Ben Turner Cup.

Leading 3-2 with five minutes left, it looked as though Yarnton had done enough, only for Tommy Hayday to make it 3-3.

However, Johnson, who had also scored earlier, struck the last-gasp winner.

Andy White and Luke Brennan were Yarnton’s other scorers, with Altin Duka and Charlie Brough also netting for Riverside.

Tom Gerken and Steve Carvey helped themselves to doubles in Freeland Res’ 6-2 home thumping of Oakley United Res in Division 2.

Tom Weedon and Tom Hall completed their tally, with Oli Stringer and Lawrence Foster replying for the visitors.

Thomas Malloy’s strike was of little consolation to Yarnton Res as they lost 7-1 at home to Adderbury Park Res.

Lee Timms (2), Luke Winkworth, Lewis Baker, Joe Marron, Chris Heritage and Daniel Butler did the damage for the visitors, who moved into second place.
