NORTH Leigh made it seven wins in a row in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West with a 3-1 victory over Bridgwater Town.

The Millers had an opportunity to open the scoring early on, with Callum McNish and Conor O’Sullivan testing Jake Viney.

James Foster was also called into action in the North Leigh goal, denying Josh Wadham and Sam Towler.

They broke the deadlock on 34 minutes, when McNish combined with Sanders before clipping the ball past Viney.

It could have been 2-0 before the break, but Aaron Woodley had a header cleared off the line.

Nine minutes after the interval, Elliott OsborneRicketts doubled their lead, weaving through a packed defence before firing home.

The Millers had opportunities to extend their lead, but Bridgwater reduced the deficit on 69 minutes.

James Foster was forced to come out of his area and only half-cleared to Ollie Chamberlain, who put the ball into the back of the net.

However, North Leigh put the result beyond doubt when Morgan Williams smashed home a free-kick on 80 minutes to seal the win.
