FOOTBALL: Carterton stay in Hellenic League title battle
CARTERTON kept their Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West title hopes alive with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to promotion rivals Hook Norton.
Top scorer Jack Dunmall was rested with a knock, but the home side remained deadly in front of goal and took an early lead through a superb Jack Heap strike from 20 yards.
Heap was sent off early in the second half after reacting badly to a challenge. But that galvanised the ten men, with Nick Thorne rounding the goalkeeper to slot the second before teeing up Sean McKeon for the third moments later.
