HAILEY moved four points clear of the Witney & District FA Premier Division relegation zone with a 3-2 away win over bottom side Minster Lovell, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

Edd Dunn and Gary Mitchell were on target for the hosts, but goals from Luke Manning, Jack Wood and Mo Semlali ensured a vital victory for Hailey.

Division 1 leaders Kirtlington were stunned by hosts Aston as they went down 2-0 to goals from Phil Caswell and Ryan Hewer.

Brize Norton claimed their first league win of the season, beating bottom side Hailey Res 2-1 away from home.

John White and Rob Hook both scored for Brize, who earned themselves an outside chance of avoiding relegation with victory. Rob Styles was on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Carterton Town B were crowned Division 2 champions with a 4-2 win over visiting FC Nomads.

Chris Laurence netted twice for the away side, but Adam Harris, Chris Marshall, Chris MacNeil and Olly Bush were all on target for Town, who wrapped up a third title in as many seasons.

Carterton Rangers progressed to the third round of the Junior Cup after an epic 6-4 win over fellow Division 1 high flyers Eynsham SSC.

John Ayres (2), Matt Walker and Andy Stratford all scored for the hosts, but Rangers replied with Jamie McDonough and Dan Hall each netting twice alongside further strikes from Adam Lee and Tom Hall.

In the first round of the Senior Cup, Chipping Norton Town edged out visitors Witney Royals 3-2.

Mark Corbett, Dan Bott and Shaun Collins struck for the home side, while Ryan Colleton and Steve Brasier replied in vain for Royals.

A brace apiece from Gary Jones and Craig McCallum handed Charlbury Town a comfortable 4-1 win at Ducklington, for whom Robbie Mutch scored.

There were also doubles for Jack Morton and Kevin Rookes as Carterton Town A eased to a 6-2 away victory over Hanborough.

Ellis Wapshott and Carl Williams also netted for Town, with Tom Weedon and Neil Rose replying for the hosts.

SPARTAN Rangers are through to the final of the Oxfordshire John Fathers Junior Shield after scraping past Ashton Villa on a penalty shoot-out in the semi-final, following a 2-2 draw.

Dave Cross scored twice during the 120 minutes for the Witney & District FA side, who then went on to win it 5-4 on penalties.
