NORTH Leigh, beginning to wilt in their hectic end-of season schedule, went down 3-1 at home to Shortwood United on Monday.
Because the Evo-Stik Southern League need to finish their regular fixtures by this week, the Millers were required to play five Division 1 South & West games inside 11 days.
Jake Lee gave Shortwood a sixth-minute lead, while Will Morford made it 2-0 six minutes after the break.
Matt Woodley pulled a goal back for North Leigh, but Lee’s second goal sealed the result.
On Saturday, North Leigh went down 1-0 at Evesham Town.
Millers boss Mark Gee put Stuart Hole and Jon Else on the bench to give them a rest,
However, Else was required to replace injured Elliott Osborne-Ricketts after just 12 minutes and Hole came on at half-time.
Evesham scored the only goal after 19 minutes with a shot from Karnell Chambers.
Last Wednesday, North Leigh extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 3-1 win at home to Wimborne Town.
Callum McNish netted the opener and Jamie Cook bagged a brace.
The Millers conclude their programme with home games against Bishops Cleeve tonight and basement club Bashley on Saturday.
