NORTH Leigh manager John Brough has no room for sentimentality as his team aim to become the first to beat Hereford tonighr.

Brough made more than 100 appearances for Hereford United between 1994 and 1998, also going on to play for current Bulls manager Peter Beadle at Newport County.

However, that won’t stop Brough plotting his reincarnated former side’s downfall in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West this evening.

He said: “There are a lot of people still there from when I was playing, but for me this is just another game we have to go and win.”

Unbeaten Hereford have a nine-point lead at the top and are expected to bring several hundred fans to Eynsham Park.

An attendance exceeding North Leigh’s record of 426 could be on the cards, but Brough is determined not to let the occasion alter his preparations.

“It’s just another league game with three points at stake,” he said.

“I don’t want to put any more pressure on the players.

“I’m not hyping this one up any more than I did against Bideford or Wantage.”

Defender Wayne Turk returns to the squad from suspension and Richard Platt has been recalled from the reserves, but James Fawke and Jon Else both miss out with hamstring injuries.
