WITNEY Wanderers moved out of the Witney & District FA Division 2 relegation zone with a stunning 5-4 win over title-chasing Kingham All Blacks, writes Anthony Barlow.

Kingham, who had lost only once all season, scored through Chris Mills (2), Olly Peters and Gaz Price.

But Mark Wright (2), Dan Smith (2) and Ben Border earned a shock result.

Freddie Buckingham’s hat-trick helped Hailey Res to an 8-1 win at Bourton Rovers.

Jamie Austin (2), Bradley Snell, Matthew Eeles and Rupert McFarlane scored the others, with Harry Larner replying.

Premier Division title contenders Kirtlington were held to a 4-4 draw by Hailey.

Kirtlington scored through Alex Metcalfe, Shane Probitts, Tom Williams and Ross Gray, but strikes from George Blundell (2), Luke Manning and Dev Wright gave Hailey a point.

Charlbury drew 2-2 against Spartan Rangers. Warwick Tompkins and Matthew Boyd netted for Charlbury, with Alfie Saunders (2) replying.

In Division 1, Tower Hill trounced FC Nomads 9-0.

Lewis Bartlett scored a hat-trick, with Jack Scott (2), Ollie Squire, Brad Olive, James Scott and Adam Bolley completing the rout.

In Division 3, Siege FC closed the gap on leaders Minster Lovell Res with a comfortable 5-1 victory over Bourton Rovers Res.

There were goals galore in Division 4 with an amazing total of 43 in six matches.

Top of the shots were Brize Norton Res, who demolished Siege FC Res 13-0.

Olly Puddle and Leo McLoughlin each bagged trebles, with Lee Litton and Jason Hirshfield scoring twice.

Danny Claridge, Paul Morrison and Ciaran Clarke completed the rout.

Stonesfield Res lost 6-4 at home to Bletchingdon Res.

A hat-trick for Mason Connolly, plus further goals from Loren Bushay, Michael Trafford and Chris Fennell, gave Bletchingdon the points, with Stonesfield replying through Shaun Kemp (2), Jamie Gardner and Bruce Wilson.

Meanwhile, Jack Morton grabbed a hat-trick as Hanborough cruised to a 5-0 win over Stonesfield in the fourth round of the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield. Craig Johnson bagged two.

FC Hollybush set up a fourth-round tie with Witney Royals as they hammered Bampton United 5-0.

Bradley Bryan led the way with a brace, while Michael Duerden, Craig Mays and Dan Bishop were also on target with a goal each.
