TEN-MAN North Leigh’s free-fall continued when they crashed to a 5-0

defeat at Wimborne Town on Saturday.

The Millers, who are in financial trouble, are in the middle of a disastrous run of form that has seen them join the relegation struggle in the West Division of the Evo-Stik South League.

Since December 5, North Leigh have collected just one point from ten league matches to plummet from a comfortable mid-table position to lie just four points above the drop zone.

Boss John Brough, whose side have not won since December 5, included himself on the bench for the trip to Dorset.

The visitors were victims of a one-man show as Toby Holmes scored four of the goals, starting with the 34th minute penalty that put the hosts ahead.

They doubled their lead when the prolific striker scored a brilliant individual effort on the stroke of half-time.

Holmes completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute and scored his fourth seven minutes later.

The Millers were reduced to ten men for the last half-hour when defender Dan James was sent off after being shown two yellow cards within a minute.

Lee Francis created a fifth for Jack Lovell in injury time.

And the Millers, whose midweek match at home to Paulton Rovers last week, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch, face another daunting task this Saturday.

They host leaders Taunton Town, who are 12 points clear at the top, having suffered only one defeat all season.
