HANBOROUGH closed the gap at the top of the Witney & District FA Premier Division with a 1-0 win over Carterton Town A, Jack Morton scoring the only goal, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

It saw them move to within three points of leaders Hollybush, with two games in hand.

At the other end of the table, Carterton Rangers saw off hosts Spartan Rangers 2-1.

Dan Hall’s double gave Rangers the points, with Alfie Saunders replying.

Luke Manning (2), Sean King and Mark Edmunds gave Hailey a 4-0 win at home to Combe.

Miles Roberts smashed a hat-trick to help Witney Royals to a 6-1 home win over Bampton United in Division 1.

James O’Sullivan (2) and Dave Cross scored the others, with Bampton replying through Steve Newman.

In Division 3, Chipping Norton Res edged out FC Mills 3-2 as goals from Darren Bridge, Lukas Dolzel and Chris Mason gave them the points.

Visitors Mills hit back through Jon Room and James Rogers.

A double from Adrian Williams, plus strikes from Dan Lay and Tom Matthews, saw Kingham AB Res to a 4-1 win at Eynsham SSC Res, who replied through Stephen Chappel.

Minster Lovell Res booked their place in the third round of the Supplementary Cup with a 4-2 win against visitors Milton Res.

Ben Jackson bagged a double, with Luke Colville and Craig Sallis also on target.

Dan Hootton and Jonny Lowe replied.

Witney Royals Res reached the last four with a 3-2 win over Ducklington.

Rob Debanks (2) and Oliver Nolan scored their goals, while Courage Nyenya and George Townsend netting for away side Ducklington.
