NORTH Leigh earned a welcome victory with a 5-3 triumph over Paulton Rovers last night to seal their safety in the Evo-Stik South League West Division.

John Brough’s side led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Declan Sheppard and George Seacole.

However, the visitors hit back to level within five minutes of the restart with strikes from Joe Guest and Liam Monelle.

Seacole’s second of the night restored the Millers’ lead, and they made the points safe when Sheppard struck again and Matt Sysum scored No 5.

Jack Ball scored for Paulton in the third minute of injury time, but North Leigh already had victory in the bag.

In the Premier Division, Banbury United’s 11-match unbeaten run is over after losing 3-0 at St Neots Town.

Jordan Norville-Williams fired the hosts ahead on 30 minutes, and second-half strikes from Dylan Williams (50) and Nabil Shariff (87) inflicted further misery.

Thame United drew 1-1 at Ashford Town in the East Division.

The hosts went ahead through Tom Howard, but Dan West levelled four minutes later for a share of the spoils.

On Monday night Kidlington lost 2-1 at home to Bideford Town in the West Division.

The visitors led through early goals from Ben Wood and Ben Seymour.

Duran Martin reduced the deficit, but Eddie Odhiambo’s red card ended Kidlington’s hopes of salvaging a draw.
