FOOTBALL: Red-hot Calum in a hurry for Tower

AN incredible six-minute hat-trick from Calum McGinness put Tower Hill on their way to an 11-0 victory over More-ton Rangers in the second round of the Under 12 Knockout Cup.

Harry Thomson and Tom Oddy added doubles, with Jack Wood also among the scorers.

In the B League, Chipping Norton Town Swifts went down 2-1 at Bloxham.

Their goal came from Dan Newman, but strikes from Luke Barton and Jack Welch gave Bloxham the points.

Under 15

Goals from Tom Weedon (2), James Turner and Dom Belcher saw North Leigh to a 4-2 victory over Bloxham in the A League.

Tim Atherton and Matt Grady replied.

Under 14

Carterton Colts booked their place in the third round of the Knockout Cup with a 12-0 victory over Eynsham.

Rory Linford-Pill led the way with a superb four-timer, while there were also doubles for Elliott Bryant and Harry Puffitt.

Jack Brownrigg, Matty Knibbs, Matty Bicker and an own goal made up Carterton’s tally.

In the B League, Bampton Town saw off AFC Marlbo-rough 4-2.

Ben Barnes, David Nan-drynsey, Jake Cutler and an own goal secured the points, with Sam Bodinham and Eduardo Pereira replying.

Under 13

Tower Hill took a share of the spoils as they were held to a 3-3 draw against Highfield Juniors in the A League.

Connor Tinsley, Jess Law-rence and Drew Simpson netted their goals, with Ben Cooke bagging a treble for Highfield.

Harry Lewis hit a hat-trick to help Chipping Norton Town Swifts to a 6-0 victory over Eynsham.

Connor Peachey, Lewis Smith and Danny Case scored their other goals.

In the C League, Carterton saw off Highfield Junior Colts 4-2, thanks to a double from Liam Aspey and goals from Josh Lee and Ben Wright.

Charlie Miles notched a brace for Highfield.

Under 11

Alex Roscoe hit a hat-trick to help Tower Hill into the fourth round of the Knockout Cup with a 9-0 victory over Charlbury Town.

Joey Aust (2), Ryan Lanksford, Elliot Heritage, Jordan Garrett and Sam Wheeler were also on target.

Tower Hill Stars went through with a 3-1 win over Banbury United.

Finian Edwards (2) and Luke Dick scored their goals, Lewis Mallon replying.

Under 10

Zak Oliver’s hat-trick and a brace from Frankie Cato gave Tower Hill a 5-1 A League victory over Charl-bury Town.

Alex Innocenti hit a hat-trick to help Yarnton to a 5-1 win over Bourton Rovers.

Louis Ashcroft scored their other goals.

In the C League, Max Low’s strike gave Tower Hill Stars a 1-0 victory over Carterton Colts.

Cam Fulder hit a four-timer as Stonesfield beat Cumnor Minors Blue 6-1.

Raffi Riga added a brace, with Guy Pearce replying.

Under 9

Four-timers from James Tempest and Lewis West-wood helped Duck-lington to a 13-0 victory over Tower Hill Stars in the Blue League.

Ryan Holmes and Liam Varney added doubles, with Matthew Eeles completing the scoring.

Jack Romanek (2), Niall Middleton and Joseph Justin scored the goals in Carterton’s 4-1 win over Wychwood, for whom Kyle Grimmett replied.
