FOOTBALL: Witney sunk by Didcot dazzlers

Witney Utd 2, Didcot Tn 6: Witney more than played their part in this entertaining clash in the Hellenic League Premier Division on Saturday.

Stuart Beavon gave Didcot a tenth-minute lead, stabbing the ball home under keeper Paul Tassell, but Witney came back well and levelled after 25 minutes through Jamie Cook.

Didcot all but settled the game with three goals in 13 minutes before half-time, through Ian Concannon's volley, Beavon's second and a Dave Green drive.

The goal of the game came ten minutes into the second half as Jamie Heapy, Beavon and Andy Parrott set up Concannon from just outside the box.

Didcot scored again in the 61st minute through Danny Campbell before Danny Wise reduced the arrears.
