Carterton 2, Bishops Cleeve 1: Carterton saw off Bishops Cleeve in a thrilling Hellenic League Premier Division game, which included ten minutes of injury time.
Cleeve got the early breakthrough via Pete Moss and they led at the break despite the best efforts of teenager Chris Gilkes.
It was Gilkes who saw his shot cannon off the Cleeve crossbar as Carterton called the tune in the second half, but they had to wait until the 87th minute for the equaliser, Kev Lewis scoring from a corner.
Lewis was then brought down, and captain Jamie Butt calmly slotted home the penalty to seal the points.
