FOOTBALL: Tower off to flying start

Tower Hill won 2-0 against Chinnor in their opening Oxford Girls Under 14 League encounter.

Khloe Bennett broke the deadlock, then she doubled the lead with a 20-yard effort to the keepers' right.

In the Under 12 League, Tower Hill thrashed Marston Saints 14-0.

Ellie Clarke led the way with a four-timer, with Denise Godfrey scoring a hat-trick.

Amber Colwell and Claire Miller both netted doubles, with Charlie Lawrence, Beth Murphy and Paige Harris completing the scoring.

Carterton defeated Benson 3-0, with Lucy Henshaw (2) and Georgia Rose on target.

In the B League, Carterton beat Charlbury 5-1.

Beth Smith put Charlbury in front, but doubles from April Millin and Kizzie Milner and a strike from Katie Brooks gave Carterton victory.
