Sport Italia Hellenic League - Wantage Tn 1, North Leigh 2: North Leigh nicked the points with a late winner from defender Karl Dodds.

But the real story of this match was the series of controversial refereeing decisions.

They started as early as the eighth minute when Andy Wallbridge's header came down off the bar and the referee awarded a goal from 25 yards away with his assistant giving nothing.

North Leigh levelled on 32 minutes when Liam Hope headed into the corner while the referee brandished numerous yellow cards.

Five minutes from time, Dodds connected with a Simon Futcher free-kick to secure the points.

But there was still time for the referee to dismiss Dodds for a second yellow card for not retreating as he was still struggling to his feet.
