Liam Varney set them on their way when he met a corner with a superb header, before Luke Archer doubled their lead when he shot home at the far post following another flag-kick.

Simmonds’s second-half double sealed victory before Bardwell clawed one back.

Bampton Town edged to a 3-2 success at home to Garden City in the B League.

Two early Ollie Crossley goals put Bampton in control, only for Garden City to level after the break through Alex Toma and Harley Firkin.

But Billy Morrison’s cool finish won it for Bampton.

A first-half header from Jack Romanek sealed a 1-0 win for Carterton Town away to Easington Sports in the C League.

Ethan Barrett scored a hat-trick for Witney Vikings Youth as they came from behind to beat visitors Chad-lington 6-3 in the D League.
