YOUTH FOOTBALL: Simmonds's double breaks Eynsham duck

Jack Simmonds scored a brace as Eynsham Youth got off the mark with a 4-1 win at Bardwell in the Giles Sports Witney Youth Under 12 A League.

Liam Varney set them on their way when he met a corner with a superb header, before Luke Archer doubled their lead when he shot home at the far post following another flag-kick.

Simmonds’s second-half double sealed victory before Bardwell clawed one back.

Bampton Town edged to a 3-2 success at home to Garden City in the B League.

Two early Ollie Crossley goals put Bampton in control, only for Garden City to level after the break through Alex Toma and Harley Firkin.

But Billy Morrison’s cool finish won it for Bampton.

A first-half header from Jack Romanek sealed a 1-0 win for Carterton Town away to Easington Sports in the C League.

Ethan Barrett scored a hat-trick for Witney Vikings Youth as they came from behind to beat visitors Chad-lington 6-3 in the D League.

Callum Hampson, Josh Griffiths and Kieran Collier completed their tally, with Joe McBride scoring a treble for Chadlington.

A brace from Enzo Thes-sieu saw Ducklington to a 4-2 home win against Bure Park Juniors in the Under 11 Blue League.

Scott Smith and Lawson Eadle got their other goals, while Falco Kohnke and Ben Heath replied.

Eynsham Youth eased to a 4-0 win at Banbury United Youth Spencer, thanks to a double from Marcus Reading.

Ryan Lewis-Green and an Ollie Hewitt penalty completed their tally.

Luke Keenan’s goal was in vain for Witney Vikings Youth All-Stars in a 2-1 defeat at home to Yarnton Blues.

Jake Towsey and Fraser Stuart scored for Yarnton.

Robert Jenkins celebrated his birthday with a double in Charlbury Town Youth’s 4-1 win against Kingham All Blacks in the Red League.

Sam Hammond and Gus Parker-Jurd were their other marksmen with Kemal Itah netting for the visitors.

A Callum Driscoll cross-shot earned Tower Hill a 1-0 win against Tower Hill Stars.

Ike Richman hit a brace as Stonesfield Strikers won 5-2 at Grendon Rangers in the Under 10 White League.

Darcy O’Brien, Josh Oda-nes and an own goal completed their tally. Jenson Ready and Peter Wheeler replied.

Xander Timmis bagged a treble as Combe Junior Sports drew 3-3 at Grendon Rangers for whom Will Rose (2) and Bradley Layton netted.
