Fifteen-year-old Ashley Hubbert was the hero for Minster Lovell as they started their Division 1 campaign with a six-wicket victory at Westbury on Saturday.

Needing 16 to win from the final over, the youngster smashed two sixes as Minster sneaked home with just a ball to spare.

Earlier, Westbury's new signing, New Zealander Ben Rae, hit a magnificent 126 in his side's 230-9.

Charlbury began their season with an 86-run victory over Oxford Caribbean.

Captain Rob Garrett hit 85 in Charlbury's 184 all out, Shimron Thomas taking 5-28.
