JOLYON Palmer was upbeat despite narrowly missing out on his first Formula 1 point of the season.
The Renault driver, whose teammate Nico Hulkenberg retired with a gearbox problem, finished 11th at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Although he is still waiting to get off the mark in 2017, the Briton was encouraged.
He said: “I’m happy with the race, the pace was pretty good and there were no mistakes.
“It felt much better than P11 and we can take this momentum to Canada.”
