North Leigh bowed out of the Evo-Stik Southern League Red Insure Cup following a 4-2 defeat at Eynsham Park in last Tuesday’s third round tie.
Dale Evans scored all four goals for the visitors.
Evans struck on seven minutes, but John Mills soon levelled from ten yards.
Evans’s second gave the visitors the lead at the break.
North Leigh came out with all guns blazing for the seconnd half and won a penalty when Mills was brought down, but the same player saw his spot-kick saved by Alex Harris.
Evans made it 3-1 with the goal of the game – a 25-yard blockbuster that gave keeper Sam Warrell no chance.
A close-range effort from Michael Hopkins gave the home side hope, but it was fitting that Evans should have the last word with Cinderford’s fourth.
The Millers were without a game on Saturday as their Division 1 South & West trip to Sholing was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
