North Leigh twice came from behind to beat Oxford United 3-2 to reach the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final, writes DAVID PRITCHARD.

The Millers, depleted by injury and unavailability, trailed 1-0 and 2-1 before hit back to stun the U’s at Banbury United’s Spencer Stadium last Tuesday night.

Morgan Williams netted the winner on 64 minutes, curling a corner straight into the net to set up a meeting with Banbury in the final at the Kassam Stadium on a date to be fixed.

In 2012, the Millers won the competition with a 5-0 win against Oxford City and will be keen to repeat their success.

Millers boss Mark Gee was delighted with his side’s display.

“I’m really pleased, I wish we would do it every week,” he said.

Josh Shama had opened the scoring for Oxford on 20 minutes from close range.

Michael Hopkins quickly levelled, but an Elliott Osborne-Ricketts own goal from 20 yards gave the U’s a half-time lead.

But Oxford were stunned by two goals in four minutes after the break.

Callum McNish’s low strike made it 2-2 before Williams took advantage of the strong wind.

The striker repeated the feat three minutes later, only for referee Antony Coggins to rule it out for a foul on U’s goalkeeper Jack Stevens.

United still had 20 minutes to force extra time, but failed to test North Leigh keeper Matt Bulman.
