NORTH Leigh are without striker George Seacole and midfielder Morgan Williams for tonight’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West fixture at home to Wimborne Town, writes MATTHEW BRUCE.

Williams is suffering with a hamstring problem, while Seacole sustained a thigh injury in Saturday’s goalless draw with title challengers Cinderford Town.

And after clean sheets against Cinderford and high-scoring Winchester City in their last two outings, Millers boss Mark Gee is hopeful his side can look for success at the other end of the field.

He said: “It’s going to be a different type of game.

“We’ve had to work really hard to pick up a couple of decent results, but against Wimborne I think we’re going to have to be a little bit more expansive.”

Jon Else returns after being unavailable at the weekend.

TONIGHT’S SQUAD

North Leigh (v Wimborne Tn, home): from Foster, Hole, Elkins, White, Else, M Woodley, Osborne-Ricketts, Turk, McNish, Cook, L Williams, Brown, Westlake, Taylor.

North Leigh’s point at home to Cinderford was made all the more remarkable after they played with ten men for 32 minutes.

Stuart Hole had a long-range effort saved early on for the Millers, while the visitors did find the net, but it was disallowed for offside.

Callum McNish was shown a second yellow for an alleged dive.

But the Millers dug in and Jon Steedman had an effort saved.

Cinderford piled on the pressure, but the hosts held on.

North Leigh: Foster, Elkins, Steedman, Turk, Westlake, Hole, McNish, L Williams, Seacole (M Woodley 90), Osborne-Ricketts (Brown 77), M Williams (Cook 51). Subs not used: White, Taylor.

Attendance: 79.

The draw came in the wake of a narrow midweek defeat to Oxford United in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup semi-final.

The Millers had knocked out the Sky Bet League Two side at the same stage last season, but hopes of a repeat were hit when Elliott Osborne-Ricketts was sent off ten minutes into the second half.

United took full advantage and within six minutes scored the only goal of the game, held at Oxford City.

A quick throw played George Jeacock into space down the left and his cross was inadvertently headed into his own net by Sam Elkins.

It was tough on North Leigh goalkeeper James Foster, who impressed with saves to deny Jonny Giles, Jeacock and James Roberts.
