West Witney knocked long-time Division 2 leaders Ban-bury Chestnuts off the top with a 6-0 whitewash of Wat-lington in the Oxford and District League, sponsored by Yarnton Nurseries.
They won well on all four rinks with the best results going to Kevin Alder’s men.
Elsewhere, Charlbury edg-ed a close affair at Chipping Norton, Adie Twinn’s men taking the honours in a 5-1 victory.
Witney Mills dropped into the Division 1 danger zone after a 6-0 mauling by Oxford City & County.
And to compound their misery, the third-placed side also hit the century mark, thanks to Mike Peterson’s rinks 37-shot win.
Carterton lost 3½-2½ at Banbury Central, with Ian Whelpton’s last wood earning his rink a draw and the vital extra half point.
Witney Town slipped to a 5½-½ defeat away to Division 3 high-fliers Adderbury.
Third-placed Woodstock suffered a 5-1 defeat at home to Division 4 leaders Bloxham.
Chadlington maintained their promotion effort, winning away at Florence Park to maintain the three-point gap to the leaders.
Hanborough enjoyed a 4-2 shot victory against South Oxford B.
Graham Haynes’s rink won by 35 shots.
