WITNEY’S India Mae Thompson was crowned the unified world kickboxing champion after a superb display in Carrara, Italy.
The 12-year-old Burford School pupil took the -42kg title with a 7-0 win in the final, having faced opponents from Wales, England, Romania and Czech Republic.
She also narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the -47kg category after bowing out in the semi finals.

Her focus now is on the International Combat Organisation (ICO) world championships, which take place in Germany next March.
