HOCKEY: Freeze bites
Witney Men’s MBB & O Regional Division 2 home clash with Newbury & Thatcham was frozen off.
Witney 2nd’s home tie with Oxford Hawks 5th in Division 4 was abandoned as the frozen conditions took a grip with the visitors 3-1 up. Tom Yallop replied.

Meanwhile, Witney ladies’ tie at Wal-lingford in South Clubs Lea-gue Division 3A was also frozen off.
