Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon is thinking of taking Kilcooley to the Fairyhouse Easter Festival following his victory in the totepool National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell.
The six-year-old landed the Grade 2 event over two and a half miles by two and three-quarter lengths from Silsol under Noel Fehily.
Longsdon is inclined to miss the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals with the gelding and head instead for the Grade 2 Ballybin Hurdle at the Irish venue on Easter Monday, April 6, said: “If the ground came up soft at Fairyhouse, it could be a good option.”
