Witney Ladies ground out a 1-0 win at West Hampstead in South Clubs Women’s League Division 3A.
Hayley Dobson scored the only goal when she put away a pass from Sunny Ricketts.
The hosts had a chance to level, but the ball hit Witney defender Bev Campion on the kneecap preventing a certain goal, but leaving her in agony.
The resulting flick was saved and Witney held on to secure the win.
The following day, Witney went down 1-0 in their rearranged game at PHC Chiswick.
Witney Men crashed 6-1 away to Ramgarhia in Men’s South League Regional 2, their only goal coming from Andy Gosnell.
Craig Summers, Ben Campion and Steven Trivett were on target for Witney 2nd, who triumphed 3-0 at home to Reading 2nd in Division 4.
Summers opened their account, before substitute Ben Campion put away Tom Yallop’s pass for a 2-0 lead.
Trivett sealed victory with Witney’s third goal after the break.
Witney 3rd lost 4-0 at Ashford 3rd in Division 5.
