Debra Courtenay-Crane (left) was named coach of the year
Carterton Gymnastics Club were named club of the year at the West Oxfordshire District Council’s annual sports awards night at Witney Lakes Resort last Thursday.
To complete a memorable evening, their head coach Debra Courtenay-Crane scooped the coach of the year accolade.
Among the club’s achievements were forming a veteran’s club and seeing its elite squad compete at various regional competitions.
Rob Symonds, a volunteer hockey and orienteering coach at Finstock School, won the unsung hero award.
