Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon was delighted to see Hepijeu finally break his duck at the 24th attempt when running out an easy winner at Stratford.

The French import, who was having his seventh start for Longsdon, shot clear four flights from home in a maiden hurdle over an extended two miles and two furlongs under Aidan Coleman, before keeping up the gallop to beat Panis Angelicus by six lengths.
