RORY Heaslip and Mike Godwin both scored twice as Witney beat Thame 5-2 to record their first away South League win of the season, after they had drawn six of their seven away games in Middlesex Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 before then.
Heaslip gave them the lead after ten minutes, and Godwin, one of three players recalled to the team, made it 2-0 shortly afterwards with a superb deflection.
The hosts were reduced to ten men following a green card for an intentional back-sticks.
Heaslip added his 21st goal of the season to make it 3-0, but Thame pulled back a goal before half-time, despite some good defensive work from Craig Simms and Fraser Barnard.
Godwin scored a his second at the start of the second half, which was marred by some questionable decisions, which led to three Witney players being showed yellow cards.
Thame responded with a second score, but Witney had the final say through a goal from Scott Beach.
